The Side
The Side - resort area is made up of several settlements. Kumköy appeals to young people and party lovers.
Those who enjoy walks among lush vegetation should go to Sorgun. Families with children will appreciate the excellent infrastructure of Çolaklı. Those who come for a quiet and peaceful seaside vacation choose Kızılagach, Kızılot, or hotels near Lake Titreyengöl.
The swimming season in Side begins in April and lasts almost until the end of November.
The city of Side has a rich ancient history. It was founded by the Greeks in the 7th century BC. Today, the old part of Side is an open-air museum. The old town is surrounded by powerful walls. Guests are welcomed by the ancient Nymphaeum fountain.
Here are preserved the ruins of an ancient amphitheater with 15,000 seats, where gladiators once fought; the marketplace – Agora; the beautiful Temple of Apollo with columns; an aqueduct; and the Temple of Athena.
From Side, it is easy to reach the Manavgat River waterfall and try dishes made from freshly caught trout.
Rafting, yachting, and jeep safaris are popular in Side.

Side has an extensive coastline with clean sandy-pebble beaches. In most areas, the entry into the water is gradual, without large stones or natural slabs.
